Victorian Minister for Local Government, Jeanette Powell, has convened the 2012 Ministerial-Mayors Advisory Panel (MMAP) for the final time ahead of the forthcoming council elections later this month.

 

Mrs Powell said the panel discussed a range of issues, including camping regulations on Crown Land, guidelines for differential rates, defined benefit superannuation deficit, forward legislative agenda, transport infrastructure and the local government elections.

 

The 2012 MMAP met previously on 21 March and 27 June 2012. Following the election, Mrs Powell will invite nominations for the 2013 MMAP from the 78 newly-elected Mayors.

 

The 2012 MMAP members were:

  • Lord Mayor Cr Robert Doyle, Melbourne City Council
  • Cr Mark Harris, Ballarat City Council
  • Cr Heinz Kreutz, Boroondara City Council
  • Cr Geoffrey Curnow, Loddon Shire Council
  • Cr Sam Aziz, Casey City Council
  • Cr Kim McAliney, Wyndham City Council
