Councils and other local authorities have been invited to apply for $13 million worth of pest and weed control grants.

The Australian Government has announced the opening of the $13 million Advancing Pest Animal and Weed Control Solutions competitive grant round. Applications close 25 September.

The main objective of this grant round is to research and develop innovative control solutions to improve the way established pest animals and weeds are managed.

Project applications must target invasive species that are not endemic to Australia or a particular part of Australia.
