Project Manager

Exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join a Local Council in Sydney's North Shore to deliver a number of Sustainability Projects. This is an initial 6 month contract with the possibility of extension. You will oversee and deliver a range of sustainability initiatives aimed at enhancing the Council's environmental footprint.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of sustainability projects, including water management, energy efficiency, water sensitive design, public space enhancements, and street tree projects.
  • Coordinate project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery within scope and on schedule.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders including council members, community groups, contractors, and government agencies to drive project outcomes.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges.
  • Monitor project progress, prepare regular status reports, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, ideally in a local government or sustainability-focused environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects concurrently from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles and practical experience in implementing sustainability initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
