2014 Warrnambool Small Business Festival

Local entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to fine-tune their business or learn about starting a new one with the third Warrnambool Small Business Festival running throughout August.

The festival will be launched on August 6 at a special Club Wednesday networking function at the Lighthouse Theatre.

The Warrnambool Small Business Festival is presented by Warrnambool City, Moyne and Corangamite Shires and features 20 free or low-cost workshops, seminars and networking functions.

Topics covered include marketing, online sales, legislation updates, business planning and more.

For topics that do not have a dedicated workshop, advice can be sought from the one-on-one business mentors, the Victorian Government’s small business mentoring bus or at one of networking events.

Warrnambool City Council Economic Development and Grants Officer Annabel Cussen said that the goal of the festival is to build business knowledge, skills and opportunities in south-west Victoria.

“We’re excited to have so many national experts and local industry leaders presenting at this year’s festival,” Ms Cussen said.

“There’s no need to travel to receive specialist business advice, it's coming directly to you."

“The festival aims to help business operators consider various aspects of their business and look at ways that they can be optimised.”

The 2014 business festival is part of the Victorian Government’s Small Business Festival held across the state throughout August.
