Begonia Festival wins State Award


The Ballarat Begonia Festival has been named Best Regional Event in Victoria in the Australian Event Awards 2014.

The State award will be officially announced at an official awards ceremony on Tuesday 11 November.

The Ballarat Begonia Festival has gone from strength to strength in recent years.

The Ballarat Begonia Festival attracted a record crowd in 2014, with 45,000 people attending the event over three days. Crowds were up from 30,000 in 2013.

The Australian Event Awards are considered the pinnacle awards program for the events industry in Australia. The awards are an opportunity for all Australian events to be acknowledged on a level playing field, across the entire national events industry.
