Category Winners of the Active All Areas Photography Competition Announced
As part of Local Government Week 2015, Lachlan Shire Council held an ‘Active All Areas’ photography competition and received a total of 50 photographs capturing life in Lachlan.
Residents were invited to submit entries in four categories. Your Environment was the most popular category receiving 18 entries, followed by Your Property with 15 entries, Business and Tourism with 12 entries and Your Council with 5 entries.
Local Condobolin photographer Michael Holmes viewed all entries and selected one category winner from each of the four categories who will each receive a $250 voucher to a local business of their choice.

Mayor of Lachlan Shire Council Des Manwaring thanked all entrants for getting involved and supporting Local Government Week 2015.
“Congratulations to everyone who entered the ‘Active All Areas’ photography competition,” said Councillor Manwaring. “It is always great to see just how beautiful the Lachlan Shire is and these images really do the Shire proud,” said Councillor Manwaring.
“Selecting the category winners would have been a tough decision with so many talented local Photographers to select from so thank you and well done to Michael Holmes for judging the competition,” said Councillor Manwaring.
Images from the ‘Active All Areas’ photograph competition will be used in the marketing and promotion of the Lachlan Shire as a great place to live, work, play and invest.
