Community Planning for Castlemaine begins
Are you passionate about Castlemaine? Are you interested in the future of your town?
Community members are invited to take part in community consultations in the coming weeks to find out what people love and value about Castlemaine, both now and in the future.
These consultations are the first stage of a community planning process facilitated by Council bringing together the Castlemaine community to develop a shared vision for the town.
There are a number of different ways to hear your thoughts on what you love and desire for the future of Castlemaine. These include:
Survey: You can access an online survey until 5pm on Friday 6 December 2013 by visiting the Your Input section of this website.
Listening Posts: Council will have staff members available at: Castlemaine Railway Station from 6.30am – 9am on Wednesday 20 November 2013 and Castlemaine Library foyer from 10am – 12 noon on Wednesday 20 November 2013.
World Café: Council will hostan open forum for anyone to come along. Two sessions, choose one that suits: from 1.00 – 3.00pm on Wednesday 27November at the Uniting Church Hall, Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine and 7.00 – 9.00pm on Wednesday 27 November at the Uniting Church Hall, Lyttleton Street, Castlemaine.
Kitchen Table Conversations: You can host a conversation and collect thoughts and ideas to contribute. You choose a time, venue and invite people. Anyone who lives, works or has a connection to Castlemaine is welcome to participate in any of these community engagement processes.
This is stage one of the community planning process for Castlemaine. In 2014 the findings from this stage will be used to inform further community engagement with local community organisations, business and service providers to develop a shared vision for the future of Castlemaine.
