Enhancing Customer Service in the City with Recognition and Education


The City of Perth is hosting a Customer Service Awards Presentation and a workshop for city businesses to enrich service standards across the city.

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said the presentation is a celebration of the inaugural customer service award program, plus a chance for city businesses to focus in on customer service and network with each other.

“The City of Perth expected that the awards would be hotly contested with our many retail, entertainment and service providers putting their best foot forward,”

“Congratulations to Devilles Pad, Jean Pierre Sancho (St Georges Terrace) and Guys Grooming for winning the months of July, August and September respectively,” Ms Scaffidi said.

“The presentation also highlights the many businesses that repeatedly featured in our month by month top ten.”

These highly commended businesses include: 

  • Guys Grooming;
  • Voltage Espresso;
  • Lush;
  • Jean Pierre Sancho;
  • Zucca Espresso; 
  • The Bucket Café;
  • Chocolateria San Churros;
  • Anthony Van Phem Perth Tailor and Alterations; and
  • Essence of Coffee.

To further support, city business the City of Perth has invited Gary Ryan from Organisations That Matter to hold a Customer Service Workshop at the event. 

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said as the local authority for the capital city it is vital that the City of Perth works closely with business and other agencies to provide businesses with the support and information they require for success. 

“The workshop will provide valuable insights into customer expectation and service tools to help them grow their businesses in the city.”
