Free eWaste recycling

Electronic waste, or ‘e-waste’, is growing three times faster than any other type of waste in Australia and up until recently only about 17% of it was being recycled.

Thanks to the new National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme, residents and small businesses in Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley can now recycle their unwanted TVs, computers and computer parts for FREE at this e-waste recycling event!

The National Television and Computer Recycling Scheme involves a combination of government regulation and industry action to take responsibility for the collection and recycling of waste televisions, computers, printers and computer products. Under the Scheme, householders and small business can drop-off these items for free at designated access points, which may include permanent collection sites, take-back events or through a mail-back option.

So have a look around your home or office for those unwanted electronics – tell your friends and family – and make the drop this November 11th to 18th!

Between 11 and 18 November the Shire’s Landfill sites will be accepting free eWaste.
