Kuwait Coach Visits Cessnock
Jorvan Vieira is a man who lives and breathes football. As the coach of the Kuwait team who are competing in next year’s AFC Asian Cup, his knowledge of the game, and outstanding coaching career makes his team one to be reckoned with.
Mr Vieira paid Cessnock a visit to inspect facilities yesterday at Cessnock Sportsground and the Crowne Plaza Hunter Valley in the view of a pre-training camp for his team in December before the AFC Asian Cup 2015.
The draw for the competition could determine which team Cessnock may be able to host for a pre-competition training camp, given the locations of the grounds which shall be hosting the matches; Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Newcastle and Canberra.
Mr Vieira was impressed with the surface of Cessnock Sportsground, the playing surface and the facilities overall met his expectations.
The draw for the tournament will be held at the Sydney Opera House on 26 March 2014.The Cup kicks off in Melbourne on 9 January 2015 with the Socceroos featuring in the opening match.
