Located only five kilometres from the CBD, the City combines a dynamic mix of urban areas with high levels of development, quality open spaces and established residential neighbourhoods, plus renowned shopping strips, commercial and retail centres, and places of heritage significance.

With significant commercial and residential development, this is an excellent opportunity for a suitably skilled professional to make their mark in one of Melbourne’s premier inner urban municipalities.

As Manager City Strategy you will be responsible for facilitating the development of the overall strategic planning goals of the organisation. You will be located in a new, modern and sustainable building with Glenferrie Rd, Malvern and High St, Armadale right outside and have the opportunity to work in a positive and supportive small team environment focused on collaboration and innovation.

You will be offered professional development opportunities and be able to participate in a staff wellbeing program nominated as a finalist both in the VicHealth and WorkSafe awards.
Additionally, you will receive annual leave loading, work for an organisation with a dedicated Green Team and be recognised and rewarded through Stonnington’s cultural development program.

As the successful applicant you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification and extensive experience in managing urban planning, with demonstrated commitment and abilities in community consultation and engagement. Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary projects with a complexity of conflicting community needs and requirements coupled with specialist knowledge of strategic land use planning and its applications within the Local Government context.
