 Marketing & Communications Officer – Riverside Theatres

 

Riverside Theatres is the heart and soul of arts & culture in Western Sydney and for more than 30 years has attracted some of the world’s best artists, nurtured local talent and showcased the diverse and vibrant stories of Sydney’s Central City.

Riverside Theatres, owned and operated by City of Parramatta Council, draws more than 180,000 patrons to up to 1,000 performances and events every year. It is home to the National Theatre of Parramatta, which cultivates Western Sydney’s next generation of artists, performers and creators and FORM Dance Projects, a presenter of independent contemporary dance. Riverside also offers an extensive educational program for young people and people with disability.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a marketing and communications professional to join the Riverside Theatres Marketing team under the leadership of the Riverside Theatres Marketing & Communications Team Leader to:

Develop and implement the marketing promotion and communication strategy, campaigns and initiatives of the Riverside Theatres
Support the cross functional design, coordination, and delivery of tactical marketing and communications that actively reach and target identified market segments to achieve strategic objectives.

About the Role
The Riverside Theatres Marketing & Communications Officer is responsible for implementing tactical and operational marketing, communications, promotions and branding initiatives with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic marketing objectives and commercial outcomes of community participation and ticket sales . This position is responsible for supporting regular and direct engagement of customers, target market segments, and stakeholders to develop advocates of Council’s programs and services and leverage Riverside Theatres’ competitive identity to generate ticket sales.

About You
You have at least 4 years’ experience in marketing and communications in the cultural and arts sector strongly preferred. You are organised, proactive and have strong project management skills and capacity to managing competing priorities. You have a digital first mindset and have demonstrable experience in developing innovative tactical marketing, promotion, and communications programs to various target market segments. You will also have demonstrable experience in interpreting research, data, and insights, and have experience using a variety of digital systems for research, marketing, communications, and promotional outcomes.

What’s on Offer?
We are offering a 2-year contract with an attractive salary from $92,062.27 p.a. plus Superannuation. City of Parramatta also offer excellent employee benefits which can be accessed by the successful candidate.
