About the Role:
The Senior Asset Engineer Roads will be responsible for the asset management of the road & transport network, including the identification and scoping of capital projects, refinement of asset data and systems and management of complex customer requests.  The role also offers management experience through the responsibility of two direct reports and there will be opportunities to act in the team management position. 

The role sits within the Assets Branch, an innovative and collaborative team that are working to revitalise the infrastructure networks across the Shire.  Each year, the Assets Team is responsible for scoping projects, and maintaining involvement as the project client, for the $60-80M Capital Works Program.

Essential Criteria: 
1. Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in construction & maintenance of road assets.
3. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in asset management including future planning, scoping projects and capital works program development relating to road assets.
4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in managing a Pavement Management System (preferably SMEC).
5. Knowledge and experience in Asset Management System/s including Inventory, Customer Service, Work Order and Condition Monitoring.
6. Knowledge & experience in developing, updating and maintaining Asset Management System, related databases and GIS layers for road assets.
7. Sound analytical skills and a high level of oral and written communication skills to manage relationships with staff, customers and stakeholders.
8. High level of computer literacy and experience in Microsoft Office suite.
9. Demonstrated understanding of EEO, WH&S and traffic control requirements
10. Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
