Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive local government committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are currently seeking experienced, energetic and customer focused candidates to join the Sportsfields section of the Open Spaces team.

The role of Plant Operator/Multi-Skilled Worker effectively carries out plant and vehicle operation and maintenance responsibilities, whilst working in a small team. The successful candidate must have good working knowledge of a range of outdoor landscapes including road reserves, gardens, parks and sportsfields, including a comprehensive knowledge of herbicides and pesticides. A commitment to workplace safety is fundamental as well as providing superior customer service to promote a positive image of Council.

Essential to your application for this role will be your ability to meet the following criteria:

• Demonstrated experience in working in a team.
• Demonstrated experience in an operational environment. 
• Experience in dealing with members of the public. 
• HR/MR driver’s licence, or other relevant qualifications.
• Good written and oral communication skills. 
• An ability to perform duties with minimal supervision. 
• Be self-motivated and show initiative in the delegated areas of responsibility. 
• A willingness to comply with all Council’s policies and procedures.

These are permanent full-time positions working a 9-day fortnight roster on weekdays, from 6am to 3pm each shift.
