Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive local government committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join the Ranger Services team!

The role of Parking Patrol Officer is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective parking patrol and other regulatory and enforcement activities, in accordance with relevant legislation, Council policies, procedures and work practices. A high level of customer service is required to patrol designated areas, undertake regulatory action and issue penalty infringements. The successful candidate will also contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the department and organisation and achievement of relevant objectives, plans and targets.

To be considered for this position your application will need to demonstrate how you meet the following essential criteria:

• Demonstrated effective, quality and customer focused written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively and accurately with minimum supervision, and undertake designated responsibilities within time frames, instructions and requirements.
• Ability to understand and apply relevant legislation, rules and policies in an accurate, accountable and professional manner.
• Valid Class C drivers licence.
• Ability to undertake and successfully complete relevant training courses and programs relevant to the position, Council values, codes and policies.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team based environment
• Demonstrated negotiation, problem solving and mediation skills
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite software.
• Commitment and ability to implement WH&S and EEO legislation and principles.
• Ability to observe details, record information in an accurate and legible manner.
