The Cultural Projects team within the Creative City Business Unit is responsible for the implementation of strategic initiatives, projects and programs that support the cultural and creative life of Sydney.

The Cultural Projects team are seeking a Cultural Projects Coordinator - Sector Initiatives to research, develop and coordinate initiatives for the cultural and creative sector that respond to the strategic needs of the City through the Cultural Policy and Action Plan (2014). These initiatives facilitate and support a vibrant and diverse cultural, artistic and creative city and have included Art Money (interest free loans for artwork purchase), Site Works (art work for building hoardings and scaffolding), PlayWave (digital theatre passport for young people) and sector focussed professional development programs.

To be suited to the role, you will have highly developed research skills and experience in cultural development - specifically the coordination and implementation of initiatives that support the cultural and creative sectors; a degree in a related discipline or equivalent demonstrated practical and relevant experience; demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholder groups; the ability to work independently with a high level of maturity and discretion; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
