An exciting opportunity is available for a Building Surveyor to join our Construction & Building Certification Services Unit.

Construction & Building Certification Services is a unit providing building related services such as construction and complying development certificates and other building related services.

The Construction & Building Certification Services unit, is committed to providing the delivery of building certification services, Part 4a Certification and other building related approvals to the highest possible standards.

In this role you will support the operational needs of the Building Certification Team, provide timely and accurate assessment of applications for certification, approvals made under the Local Government Act and Roads Act.

To be successful in this role you will have:

* relevant tertiary qualification in building or qualifications relevant to the categories of accreditation under the BPB accreditation scheme
* experience in working either building certification or building surveying
* experience in the assessment and approval of applications under the Local Government Act and Roads Act
* well-developed ability to research and analyse issues and propose solutions
* experience in stakeholder management, including dealing with issues and an ability to negotiate and mediate on contentious matters
* a current NSW recognised Drivers Licence.
