The Service Optimisation Manager will design and implement new ways of working with the marketing, creative services, communications, media, social media and web functions of City Communications to achieve greater impact for internal and external customers and the community.

Working closely with the senior managers in City Communications, this role will continually improve and optimise strategic and operational services delivered by the unit to adapt to and keep pace with a constantly evolving communications landscape.

To be successful in this new role you will need to have:

• Degree qualification in communications, business or a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated equivalent competencies gained through extensive experience.
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
• Experience and knowledge of process and service re-design princiiples, methodologies and tools
• Experience in leading, coaching and supporting managers to create a culture of improvement and agile ways of working.
• Highly developed communication, stakeholder and relationship management skills.  
• Knowledge of in workforce planning in industries facing high level of change.
