ICT Training and Support Officer

- $60,309- $70,828 per annum + 9.5% superannuation
- Permanent Full Time (38 hours per week)
This role is responsible for assisting the Information Services Team Leader to provide efficient and effective operational support for Information Systems applications and equipment to meet the needs of computer users throughout Golden Plains Shire Council.
In this role you will assist managers in developing suitable training and professional development programs for their own departments.
The key responsibilities for this role include:
- Identify generic and area specific IT skills required by staff to effectively utilise technology and services provided by Information Services;
- Assist with the development of strategies and programs to deliver a comprehensive IT learning program to raise IT awareness and efficiency within Council;
- Provide a total support environment for all types of PC related problems;
- Undertake and keep current the IT induction program for new staff and contractors; and
- Provide primary support for Council's fleet of Multi-Function Devices.
The key skills required for this role include:
- Knowledge of the underlying principles of adult learning;
- Knowledge of the underlying principles of adult learning;
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and plan and organise work;
- A tertiary qualification in teaching or a computer related field are desirable; and
- Relevant training experience (including training IT users).
