ABOUT THE ROLE

The Urban Planning Branch is looking for a Subdivision Officer to back-fill a vacancy created through long service leave.

This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your statutory planning skills and experience relating to Subdivisions and the Subdivision Act.

The key objective of the role is to undertake Council’s statutory planning duties, particularly in relation to subdivision of land as required by the Planning and Environment Act, the Subdivision Act, the Moreland Planning Scheme and other related legislation.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE 

  • A tertiary qualification in Town Planning or Surveying or a related field or extensive experience in statutory planning and/or subdivisions is required.
  • It is desirable that applicants have some relevant town planning and/or surveying experience but this is not essential.  Experience could include work experience as part of a recognised Town Planning or Surveying course.
  • Practical computer and word processing skills are required.
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence and competency to drive a standard Council vehicle is essential.
