Compliance Officer (Planning)

The City of Stirling has an opportunity for a Compliance Officer to resolve technical enquiries and complaints relating to planning compliance matters. Assisting the Senior Planning Officer Compliance, this role will process retrospective development applications in accordance with statutory obligations and City policies.

In addition, to be considered for this role, you’ll ideally possess the following skills and/or qualifications:

  • Relevant Tertiary/TAFE qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience/competency in planning compliance matters;
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complaints received from the general public for unauthorised structures, development/land use;
  • Ability to exercise high decision-making and judgement in a logical, balanced lawful and accountable manner;
  • Relevant Local Government experience; and
  • Excellent planning, record keeping and organisational skills

This temporary full time role is a level 6 Inside Workforce Agreement and attracts a salary range of $70,491 - $74,201 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation and fantastic benefits. This maternity leave cover will be offered until the 11 January 2018.
