Engineering Technical Officer

Do you value working as part of a team in a dynamic organisation and growing community? We have an opportunity for a suitably experienced individual with enthusiasm for hands on civil engineering to join our team and gain exposure to a variety of engineering related portfolios within local government.

Primarily you will be accountable for project management of engineering outcomes and capital works projects and provision of technical support towards construction and maintenance projects. This diverse position will have you liaising with customers, contractors and internal staff, report writing, conducting onsite inspections, assessing and checking compliance of engineering plans, drawings and projects. The role offers scope for you to gain exposure to asset management and ownership over a small asset management portfolio.

To be successful in this role you will have qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related field (minimum Diploma level), previous experience in project management, whole of life asset management planning, AutoCAD, civil design and construction and excellent computer skills. Advanced Worksite Traffic Management qualifications and experience in a similar role would be advantageous.

With a strong team approach and thirst for learning you will be rewarded with a salary circa $73K per annum, up to 14% superannuation, commuter use of a vehicle and an excellent work/life balance with a monthly rostered day off.
