Maribyrnong City Council is undergoing significant change in population growth, redevelopment, gentrification, and a transitioning economy is leading to an influx of new residents, businesses and opportunities.

Our Finance Department has an exciting opportunity for a Coordinator Management Accounting to join their growing team.

You will be responsible for the Management Accounting team of our Council. As well as the timely collection and collation of accurate information and reports for use by the management, financial and statutory reporting.

Ensuring that Council meets all of its statutory obligations in respect of budgeting and reporting and ensuring that budgeting is carried out within a longer-term framework with the key objective of sustainability.

You will develop, maintain and ensure continuous improvement of our systems and develop policies and procedures to ensure all of our accounting and asset systems remain compliant.

To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification or the equivalent in experience and be able to build and sustain relationships, have strong analytical and report writing skills, the ability to lead and support direct report staff and have a high level of proficiency in the use of a major corporate system and the Microsoft suite of products.
