Strategic Planner

In this role, you will deliver a range of high quality strategic planning services relating to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme including processing of amendments, implementation of key local and State government policy, and preparation of strategies. 

A promotion has created an exciting opportunity for a strategic planner at Whitehorse. In the role, you will deliver a range of high quality strategic planning services relating to the Whitehorse Planning Scheme and implementation of key local and State government policy. You will manage projects that create and implement Council’s strategies across the municipality such as plans for activity centres and will respond to the City’s strategic planning needs.

To be successful you will have appropriate tertiary qualifications in town planning or a related discipline, and have suitable strategic planning experience. You will possess exceptional oral and written communication skills, be experienced in community consultation, have demonstrated project management skills to manage a variety of complex tasks efficiently and with minimal supervision and deliver high quality results. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and to organisational and team values and behaviours are essential.
