The role

You will lead and manage a diverse team of aged care advisors, service co-ordination officers, finance, customer service and quality and contracts teams to deliver community aged care services that are safe, inclusive, effective and transparent that promotes consumer choice and control while managing risk and safety to consumers and staff.

You will act as an escalation point for Team Leaders in the management of concerns and complaints by Consumers, Carers, service providers and liaise with external stakeholders.

You will be an adaptable leader who has strong background in community services working at a manager or team leader level. You will be innovative, responsive to client feedback and able to quickly change work practices to address the significant changes in the aged care sector.

You will be a key driver of the organisations cultural change in placing customers at the heart of everything we do. You will lead by example by collaborating with referral partners, our brokered service providers and the broader staff, high level clinical experience, understanding processes and systems and being curious to new ways of doing things. 

Quality is key, and you will have the ability to develop, implement and review policies and procedures to ensure high quality service provision and ensure the best outcome for clients. You will not shy away from the detail, collecting and analysing data on service output, resourcing and expenditure.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time of change, innovation and growth and working closely with an experienced, dedicated leadership team.

You will have:

  • Experience in managing staff, knowledge of case management in health and community services (ideally in aged care) and exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • A natural ability to delve into the detail and step back and set the vision interchangeably.
  • Experience of working with teams to change and innovate.
  • You will be a great people person with the ability to build strong working relationships across Council and the sector.
