Planning for Healthy, Happy and Active Community
The City of Perth has released a draft Public Health and Wellbeing Plan that focusses on what makes a healthy community and how to achieve it.
Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said the draft plan as its title suggests looks beyond physical health and also addresses the overall wellbeing of the community.
“We want to make sure as a local government we are helping our community of residents, workers and visitors make positive lifestyle choices,”
The City of Perth has undertaken extensive community consultation to aid the preparation of the plan.

Residents are also being given the option of a free upgrade to a 360 litre yellow recycling bin.
$500,000 For Waterline Infrastructure In Bass Coast
Bass Coast Shire’s waterline infrastructure will receive a major boost after the State Government announced over $500,000 in funding last week.

He also took the opportunity to inspect the Inverloch jetty upgrade, partially funded by the State Government, which was completed in November last year.
Council was successful in receiving a $378,000 grant through the government’s Boating Safety and Facilities Program for construction of the new jetty at the Cowes Boat Ramp, in addition to Council’s contribution of $150,000.
