Students show appreciation for library support

More than 70 Clarence Valley HSC students took advantage of special study evenings put on by the Clarence Valley Council during September.

The Grafton and Maclean libraries each offered two special nights for students in the valley studying for their HSC examinations. On these evenings both libraries were open until 8pm, providing free Wi-Fi, printing and photocopying.

Regional librarian, Kathryn Breward, said the feedback from all students attending was overwhelmingly positive and appreciative, with a resounding suggestion that these be held more often in future years.

For eight days and nights, MMW will pry open basement doors, activate laneways, light up the silver screen and shake up the dance floor at some of Melbourne’s most iconic music venues. Alongside an electric line-up of local and international acts, MMW’s 2015 program will also feature a range of industry events, exhibitions, film screenings, workshops, panel discussions and more.

Owned and delivered by the City of Melbourne, MMW partners with the city’s music industry to create a program of carefully curated events. Chair of Marketing Councillor Beverley Pinder-Mortimer said MMW is a key player in Melbourne’s music event calendar.
