Local Heritage Funding Available for Heritage Properties
Nambucca Shire Council is looking for property owners and managers who want to tap into assistance from Council and the NSW government to carry out conservation and maintenance work on their heritage properties.
Through assistance from the Office of Environment and Heritage, Council is able to offer dollar for dollar funding for works that will help preserve our important heritage places throughout the Nambucca Shire.
Report a reflection of productive year
Last year council workers maintained 2476 kilometres of roads, processed 5454 tonnes of recyclables, treated 15,469 mega litres of water, pruned 5675 trees, handled 104,855 customer enquiries and spent 11,161 hours mowing.
Friendship the added bonus of community gardens
Pockets of land across the city are being transformed into productive oases as the City of Sydney joins forces with urban green thumbs to make community gardens grow.
Pineapples, coffee, cardamom and comfrey are among the crops grown on 19 sites tucked onto rooftops, church land and parks across the city.
Further your education with the Singleton Mayoral Scholarship Program
Applications are now open for the 2014 Singleton Mayoral Scholarship Program.
The program is offering five scholarships of $4000 each to be awarded in five categories: agriculture; business; engineering and infrastructure; environment; and community, social services and education.
